  • Why did I pledge Sigma? I chose to pledge Sigma because when I went to their rush events, I felt very welcomed and was seen as an individual, not just another rushee. I wanted to be involved with the many things that Sigma stood for and looked forward to that lasting friendship that I know the sisters provided.

  • Why did I pledge Sigma? In high school, I was known for being on the tennis team. I wanted to find something that would give me more (lack of a better term) purpose. Geneseo was my fourth choice but I decided to go there because I wanted a change. I thought by going to a predominately white school, I would become more “Americanized” but I later found out that college is when I embraced my culture the most. I attended recruitment for the other organizations but felt that I got to know the sisters of Sigma Psi Zeta on a more personal level, as individuals and not just as an organization. Also, I saw the benefits of being in a national organization that visits and supports each other.
  • Favorite Quote: Make your own luck.

    Northeast Regional Director 2009-2011
