  • Why did I pledge Sigma? It began with a simple curiosity that led me into a lifetime of sisterhood.  I was never one for being a part of an organized social group, but Sigma proved to be more than I had imagined.  The organization combines the key elements of leadership, philanthropy and cultural education, dedicating these efforts to enforce a positive presence in the campus and community as a whole.  Being a part of the minority census, it was important for me to promote awareness and break stereotypes of Asian/Asian-American women.  Sigma was a great example for our campus to see the influences and accomplishments that can be made by a group of strong, intelligent women.
