TIE-DYE Event: Come meet the sisters of SYZ. Make your own tie-dye shirt to rock in the spring. All materials will be provided as well as yummy HOT CHOCOLATE!

Learn all about our sorority, what we do for our community and what sisterhood means to us. Free BUBBLE TEA and snacks!

Cultural Potluck Event: Join us as we host a formal dinner. Learn about various cultures and fun facts about native foods.

Bubble Tea Party: Come join us in writing letters of encouragement to high school students of Rochester!! Be fun and creative with your message!

Educational Dinner: Have dinner with us at Applebee’s and enjoy our presentation on how women perceive confidence and success in different Cultures.

My Big Fat Greek Contest 2012


The Mu charter is participating in a competition with all the other sororities and fraternities on the Geneseo Campus. It is a contest sponsored by Kaplan (the testing company) and willl last until 10/23. The winner gets a free pizza party and 2 free on demand courses which we can donate or raffle off for fundraising money. The contest is based on points, so the more people we get to sign up, the more points we get!

Amy’s Walk – Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The actives of the Mu Charter all fundraised and participated in Amy’s Walk yesterday (Oct. 15).
Amy’s Walk is a 5k that raises funds for Chances & Changes, the local provider of domestic violence services. It is in honor of Amy Sayle a resident of Livingston County who was killed by her boyfriend.
We will be selling bracelets and ribbons in the Geneseo College Union the week of October 24-28 to fundraise more for Chances & Changes. Contact Kathy at (speranza.syz@gmail.com) if you are interested in donating or helping out.
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
